King Solomon
by Cicatrix inokay, maybe i'm ignorant, but i can't stop thinking about this.. it's recorded in the bible that jehovah gave solomon great wisdom.
so why did he eventually turn away from jehovah and start serving the gods of his foreign born wives?it would seem to me that that increased wisdom from jehovah would make him more likely to continue to serve jehovah faithfully.. this also brings to mind the account of adam and eve and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.. i considered this from the angle that solomon used his free will and chose to oppose jehovah.
but is free will really "free" if you are punished with death for disobeying the creator???.

Re: Adam and Eve. God doesn't desire man to live by his knowledge of good and evil - see "grace". What the Lord asked of was sort of like about the wts - " who told you you were naked?" So they had lost their Eden - " a secure mind is like a garden ".
Check out the cherubim, who they are - they're still in the east of the garden - and people enter. ( (major smile))

"i'm outta the borg(tm)" "your favourite witness?.....i hated them all" and my favourite..."hello newbie, you're amongst friends here, we look forward to your posts", but don't you dare, ever ever step out of line and not tow the ex line here, after all we're the enlightened ones now and we'll trash you without any understanding/concern"........this site has become a cult in itself, agreement at the kh is called brainwashing, agreement here is applauded, unless you disagree (no dissention in the ranks allowed) and on and on...........quit the judgement of others you say you struggled hard to escape from and hated, we're all humans looking at the end of the day for answers.

The wts warned against listening to other people, and indeed put the argument as, "just one drop of poison in the glass, and you'll be killed by the drink" - or something, i.e. just listening and taking in one bit of that 'other' stuff.
Whereas Jesus Himself said, " if they drink any deadly thing it will not hurt them". Go figure?

Freedom includes freedom to trash - if people here agree to trash when it comes to jwism, it's because their understanding is that it's so trashable - the wts cannot sustain intelligent debate, so arguments that contradict do get a foothold here - being affected by truth is simply a part of hypocracy.
